The Good, the Great and the bad-ish —effectively planning your days + news on our Wellness line!

Updated: May 4, 2023

“I’m the bad guy…duh” —Billie Eilish

Not sure what this has to do with anything. The song's just been playing over and over in my head...

With our Wellness line on the way💃🕺 I thought it best to give you all a little more insight into how you can use your LyfLyn planners and journals.

In the previous blog, I talked about the importance of journaling and how organisation can help with anxiety. So the aim of this post is to go through the three different products I have designed and show you how to use them efficiently and to your benefit. But before I get to that, I have some not-so-great news 🙁.

Our official launch will be delayed by a month😢. We were going to launch the Wellness Planners and Journals in mid-August, but due to some logistical errors it will now be mid-September. I'm particularly sad about this because I really wanted you to get your hands on these products as soon as possible so you can start living your best life. Unfortunately some things are out of our control and we can only tell you that we may have some gifts in store for you in September as our way of saying "THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING AND BEING PATIENT" 😉 .

Now for the tea ☕!

I have designed three different planners as part of our Wellness range. Why did I do this? Well, because no two people are the same and I hope that at least one of the three (if not all) will suit your daily needs or whatever situation you are going through.

As the name suggests, the main purpose of this product is to keep a journal. This product is best suited for someone who wants to adopt the habit of journaling, a great tool for relieving stress, anxiety and depression, as well as keeping in touch with yourself.

I have included some journaling tips on the first page that you can refer to as you use your journal. It's a dateless journal, so it's up to you how often you want to use it. As someone who journals a lot, I can tell you that there are days when you open a page and have absolutely nothing to write (in my case, I usually just scribble things instead), so it works really well when you're not tied to a date.

This gorgeous planner also has a ribbon bookmark and an expandable back pocket for your keepsakes! I would recommend this journal to anyone (preferably alongside a planner) to start practicing 'effective journaling' which will help you achieve your goals, make you more self-aware and increase your sense of wellbeing!

I designed this for the super-organiser 💪 - think Superwoman OR Superman!

One spread has all the CHECKLISTS you need, including a TO-DON’T list. Now, I have been asked about what the point of this is and the best way I can answer this is by suggesting some of the articles I have read on how effective to don’t lists are. I suggest you read this fantastic article article on 'how to make a to-don't list' and I also recommend 20 examples of things that should be on your to don’t list. From my point of view, the most effective part of planning my day has been centred around learning how to respect the things I don't need to do as well as things that I ought to delegate to others.

The second spread is made for NOTES - these could be notes taken during a meeting or (and I often do this) you could use this space for journaling. I usually write down how I feel and how I want to approach the day in one of the columns and then leave the second for any other notes. But hey, I say this a lot and I'll say it again - YOUR JOURNAL/PLANNER, YOUR RULES! I'm just trying to give you an idea of what I was going for when I designed the pages 😊.

Similar to the journal, this planner has a ribbon bookmark and an expandable back pocket!

Finally, this planner is made for someone who likes to see a summary of their whole week and goals in one go, this planner is PERFECT for jotting down those monthly goals and weekly goals, meetings and appointments at a glance.

I have also designed a special CHALLENGES section just for that extra push. If you have a habit you'd like to build (or break), this is the perfect tracker. Be kind to yourself and give yourself a reward for every 10 day streak you achieve!

Key fact: this is a loose-leaf planner, so you can easily add to it (we'll be selling inserts on our website) and keep the same cover. Note that the cover has several pockets on the front for your cards etc. and a pen loop on the back.

It's a super-sleek planner, y'all.

So once again, sorry for the delay of these gems, but I PROMISE it will be worth the wait!🌹

PS: They will be available in the following colours (as seen in the photos) to start:

  1. Journals- Mink and Padua

  2. Daily Planners- Chilean Flamingo and Midnight Green

  3. Loose- Leaf Planners- Salamander and Tawny

Thank you,

SK 😘
